When a couchsurfer, whose passion is photography, writes you a message, asking if you would like to join him for a one-day trip in search of the biggest lavender fields in Provence, you know what to answer! So that’s what happened to me recently. Perfect idea, perfect timing – the same day my family was leaving Uzes and two days later I was going to Paris.

We were a little bit afraid if it’s not too late cause the most of the lavender fields are being cut in the end of July – in the begining of August and we decided to drive 2-3 hours away from my place (close to Manosque) but we found them! Maybe the weather was not perfect and changing quickly, but it was anyway worth the effort.

And it would be pity not to see the neighborhood, so we also stopped in Gordes and Roussillon. If you are in Provence, you definitely must go there!

Kiedy couchsurfer, którego pasją jest fotografia, wysyła do Ciebie wiadomość z pytaniem, czy nie chcesz dołączyć do niego w trakcie jednodniowej wycieczki w poszukiwaniu największych pól lawendy w Prowansji, od razu wiesz, co odpowiedzieć! Przynajmniej ja się nie wahałam. Idealny pomysł, idealny moment. Tego samego dnia moja rodzina akurat kończyła wakacje i wyjeżdżała z Uzes, a dwa dni później sama jechałam do Paryża.

Na początku obawialiśmy się, czy nie będzie za późno, bo większość pól lawendy w tym regionie jest podcinana pod koniec lipca – na początku sierpnia. Dodatkowo ambitnie wybraliśmy się w rejon Manosque (2-3 godziny drogi samochodem ode mnie), ale udało się!

W trakcie drogi zatrzymaliśmy się w pobliskim Gordes i Roussillon. Jeśli jesteś w Prowansji, koniecznie musisz tam pojechać!
